More about our Pastor
Our church has no ordained clergy. In 1895, the discover and founder of the Christian Science Church, Mary Baker Eddy, named the King James version of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as the Pastor for the worldwide Churches of Christ, Scientist.
Two Readers, elected from and by our membership for a three year term, read selected passages from the Bible and Science and Health relevant to the topic of the sermon. These same passages are studied by students of Christian Science during the week prior to the Sunday Service.
Each Wednesday, the First Reader reads selected passages from the Bible and Science and Health on a timely topic at the beginning of each Wednesday meeting. After these readings, the congregation is invited to share their own testimonies of healing.
